SoAM is a creative and photographic studio based in Brooklyn, founded by Andrea Urbinati and Marzia Gamba in February 2015.
Our vision is to combine different arts, creating collaborations with all kinds of creatives to expand the borders of photography. The studio is not just a work space it’s also a place to show and discuss work. We give to the artists the possibility of having exhibitions here. We want to create a community of people that gives us inspiration every day and shares the same passion that makes SoAM not only a photographic studio but also a friendly community.
Andrea Urbinati is an italian photographer and video maker who has been living and working in New York since 2011. In Italy, Urbinati was an editorial and commercial photographer, specializing in portraiture and corporate work. Since arriving in New York, he has developed his dramatic, emotional style, and his work has been published in numerous magazine, including Elle Indonesia, Creem, TRIBU-TE, Hestetica, and more.
Marzia Gamba is an italian photographer based in Brooklyn. Graduated at Naba Milan in Graphic Design then at ICP, International Center of Photography of New York. She is specialized in constructed portraits and still life influenced by her creativity and background in graphic design. She did international exhibitions in art galleries and her work has been published on Hestetica, In Magazine,Collateral, Musee Magazine, Arts in Bushwick.
Maha Alasaker is a Kuwaiti photographer based in New York City. She is a 2014 ICP graduate from the Full Time Program in general Studies.She is passionate about her work and she enjoys engaging with people. Her photography embodies modernity and glamour. Maha Alasaker photos glow with femininity, power and intrepidity. Maha's work has been featured in numerous exhibitions in New York City, United Arab of Emarit and Kuwait. Most recently as part of the“ Art on Paper” March 2015, “ Miami Project”,December 2014 and “ArtMarket - Hampton ” July 2014.
